Goal Update

I know you've all been on the edge of your seats wondering if I achieved my fitness goal for the month of April.

Well, I DID IT!!!

Sadly, with very disappointing results:

Weight: 148.6 → 150.4
Body Fat %: 39.7 → 39.6
BMI: 25.1 → 25.4
Muscle %: 25 → 25.4

Actually, now that I write it down like that, it doesn't seem too bad. I gained a little weight but also muscle. :)

The most depressing was that it turns out we can't really afford even a small shopping spree right now. Boooo!!!

May's goal is to exercise 5-6 days per week, including two days in the weight room.
I should make a food goal, but I'll save that for June. ;)

On a slightly different note - Only SIX weeks until my Pedal 'n Paddle weekend!!! I'm getting excited.

  1. YAY! Believe me, I know the feeling of constant workouts and stubborn scales.

I can't believe how quickly P&P is approaching. Are you going to be in on the conference call on the 26th? I won't, but she sends out an email...

  2. Overall, I'm still pleased with accomplishing my goal...and even if the scale is stubborn, it's nice to have loose pants. ;)

I'm planning on being on the call - even if I may have to call in from the bus. LOL

  3. BMI is a horrible measure of fitness, it can actually get worse as you gain muscle mass and it says NOTHING of your fitness or health levels. According to the BMI I am morbidly obese yet I run 10Ks, teach at the gym, blah, blah, blah...

Keep working out, feel better, smile in the mirror, dance with your husband, and eat good food when you have the chance.

  4. Anonymous, Thanks for the comment. I treat BMI just like any other measurement - only giving part of a picture. I take everything with a grain of salt. As long as I feel strong and healthy, and my pants continue to feel looser and looser, then I know I'm on the right track. :)
