5 Things You'll Love. I know I do.

Happy Friday!

I, for one, am very happy that Friday is finally here. It was a very long week at work playing catch-up from 7 days of vacation. It took me until Thursday afternoon to finally feel above water. It was crazy! I don't usually have such a hard time getting caught up but there were so many little things that kept coming up. It was exhausting.

Anywhoo, I'm linking up with Running on Happy and Fairytales and Fitness for the Friday Five 2.0 linkup. This week's theme is LOVE. You know, since Valentine's Day is next week.

5 Things I'm Loving Right Now

Steptris

The days leading up to my recent vacation were pretty slow at work. I'm usually pretty good about finding things to keep me busy, but I'll admit that I peeked at the Garmin Connect IQ Store during some downtime. I downloaded a few watch faces, but I'm really loving the Steptris watch face. I have been pretty terrible about getting my steps in the past couple months, and this motivates me to move a little more.

The face is filled with Tetris-like blocks in the morning and they disappear as you walk throughout the day.

If you beat your goal, you get a fun YOU WIN!! message.

Loop - Habit Tracker

I recently downloaded this app from Google Play. Someone suggested a habit tracking app. I couldn't find the one specifically mentioned, but I'm loving this one! You can set whatever goals you want.

Including frequency, reminders, colors.

Each day when you do your goal, you simply mark it off. The app then tracks it and scores it.

It's not perfect, but it's been fun so far. I'm excited to see how my scores change over time. I've only bee using this since the beginning of February, so not a lot of data in there yet.

@EnjoytheCourse is sharing 5 things she's loving lately. What are you loving today? #FridayFive

Jaybird X3 Sport Headphones

I mostly workout at home, but I still like to wear headphones. 1) It allows me to workout in privacy without bothering my husband. 2) It allows me to hear the audio cues better when I'm doing a video.

Wireless headphones FTW. I love my My Aftershokz Trekz Titanium headphones when running outside, but my Jaybird headset is my choice for indoor workouts.  The Jaybird allows me to lay my head flat when doing floor exercises while the Aftershokz gets in my way.

Ibotta (a.k.a. My Starbucks Fund)

Do you use Ibotta? It's a fun coupon app! Search for offers on products at stores you already shop at.

Go Shopping. Scan your receipt as proof of purchase. Redeem for gift cards. Super easy!

I always redeem for a Starbucks gift card, but there are a lot of different options. My goal for the year is to only reload my Starbucks card with money I've saved using the Ibotta app.

Birds Eye Protein and Superfood Blends

Using Ibotta, I've also discovered new products like artichokes and these Birds Eye Frozen Protein and Superfood Blends.

I don't think they are in the app anymore, but my freezer is currently stocked full! I'll probably buy these again - even without a coupon. They are super easy to prepare - just microwave for a few minutes. They are delicious on their own, but I've also made them into an egg bake for easy make ahead breakfasts all week. I'll have to snap a picture next time.

Do you use a habit tracker? Have you tried these Birds Eye products? Do you use Ibotta? What are you currently loving right now?

  1. I'm going to have to look at that Ibotta thing. That sounds right up my alley!

I haven't done anything with the Garmin Connect IQ store yet. I keep seeing all these fun things and then I never go shopping. I swear I have the most boring Garmin ever. haha

That habit tracker is an interesting idea. I think I'm going to share it with my daughters because they've both recently mentioned trying to stick to some new habits lately.

    1. You should definitely check out Ibotta! It's so easy.

It took me several months to try anything from the Garmin Connect IQ store, but I was *really* bored at work. LOL

I really like the habit tracker I downloaded, but there may be others that are even better. Let me know which one you try. I'm already holding myself much more accountable.

  2. If I'm trying to kill time before vacation, I start shopping for running gear. It's a good distraction, even if I don't buy anything.

  3. I have heard of Ibotta but I've never used it. I'm so bad with coupons. I always forget to use them.

Love that Steptris app. I don't wear my Garmin all day tho. I'll have to see if Apple has something for the iWatch.

    1. That's the great thing about Ibotta - nothing to do at the register or in the store (other than buying things), you just redeem offers once you're back home. I do it as I'm putting groceries away, so I don't forget.

    1. I'm bad with coupons, too. That's one reason I like Ibotta. Just find products in the app, buy them, and then scan your receipt. There's nothing to do in the store. :)
