It's a short work week for me this week because I've got Ragnar Trail Zion this weekend. It really snuck up on me. I'm not sure I've even mentioned it on the blog at all!
More on that later...
In the meantime, let's Dish the Fit.
This week's topic is HOW DO YOU RECHARGE?
Here are 9 ways I wish I recharged.
Read a book.
Write a blog post.
Go for a Run.
Enjoy a walk.
YOGA!
Bask in the sun on our patio or at the pool.
Soak in the hot tub.
Get a mani/pedi.
Meditate.
While I do enjoy many of these things, I don't necessarily recharge from them.
In reality, I zone out to a LOT of TV and movies.
And I try to get plenty of sleep at night. Or catch-up on sleep on the weekends.
I <3 naps.
This cracked me up! |
So, there you have it. I recharge with TV and sleep. :)

Reading, sunshine, going for a walk, and writing are definitely some of my favorites for recharging! <3
ReplyDeleteSunshine is awesome! :)
DeleteLOVE the honesty. That's one of the many things I love about you. It's true, all those typical recharging activities can just be tiring, when we really just need sleep. : ) And, vegging affront the TV feels so nice at night. I say if you love it, great, if you don't, stop. And phooey on what others think. And, there are so many books I wish I had time to read, but alas, I need to be writing the books more than reading them. : ) Have a great week!
ReplyDeleteThanks, Jessica! I like to be as honest as possible.
DeleteAnd, yes, I need to be writing more than reading. :)
Clarinda this is awesome. I love your list of 9 things but you're right. They're not necessarily recharging.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy Ragnar! I can't wait to hear all about it!
Thanks, Jill!
DeleteANYTHING ANYTHING SOLO.

DeleteI am not a huge tv watcher but when I can score 8 hours of sleep, watch out! :) Good luck with your race!
ReplyDelete8 hours of sleep is the dream, isn't it?
DeleteThat image is SO TRUE! Why did we fight naps when we were kids and, now as an adult, naps are so hard to come by?! Going for a run and writing in my journal are definitely re-chargers for me. And just getting a full nights sleep helps, too! Good luck on your upcoming race!

Right?! That pillow is brilliant.
DeleteHaha! That is awesome!! :) I'm kind of the opposite, if I see someone else out running, it always makes me smile.
