I'm Not Gonna Change!

We've made it a week into the New Year. If you're a resolution or goal maker, you've probably made a list, AND you've probably been pretty good about sticking with it. So far.

But, let's not kid ourselves. There's plenty that we'll likely not change in 2013, and that's just the topic of today's Monday Listicles.

10 THINGS I HAVE NO INTENTION OF CHANGING IN 2013
  1. Doting on my little girl, Sallie, and taking and sharing too many lots of photos of her.
  2. So stinking cute!
  3. Watching General Hospital whenever I can.
  4. Wasting time on social media.
  5. Commuting by bike to work once the weather gets a bit warmer.
  6. Pushing myself to work harder and run faster.
  7. Waiting until the last moment to do laundry.
  8. Eating cold, leftover pizza.
  9. My last name.
  10. My address.
  11. My job.
What do you have no intention of changing in 2013?

  1. I'm so glad to find someone that feels a little tired of New Years Resolutions. I stopped making them about 5 years ago. But I like you idea about making a list about things I'm not going to change. For me I'm not going to change....Looking for the beauty in every day. No matter how miserable it seems.
Like frost on the trees in -4 below zero degree weather.

    1. Gina, That's a great one! We should always try to find the beauty in every day. Makes us happier people, in my opinion.

Thanks for the link to your post. Those frosty trees were really pretty.

  2. I avoid laundry until the last minute too. Unfortunately the last minute comes a lot sooner than it used to with two kids under three.

I also wait until the car is sputtering to fill up the gas tank. I want to get the absolute max time out of a tank before I have to go to the gas station again, especially in the winter.

    1. Confession: I don't think I've filled up the tank since we bought our van last May. I always wait for my husband to do it.

Confession: Last week, I bought new underwear rather than do laundry.

  3. I could never give up cold leftover pizza, either. Or social media, come to think of it. Great list! :)

  4. Yay for bike commuting! Best way to get around. :) I'll be doing as much of that as I can too. Also, cold leftover pizza is THE BEST. I forgot to add that to my list... :)

  6. Ah love this idea! I won't change running no matter how hard it is right now. I also won't change the fact that I indulge in pizza usually once a week ;-)

  7. 8,9 and 10. Those were brilliant. And I love the fact that you ride your bike to work. But I'm with you in riding in the cold. I have a 70 degree rule. Don't ride my rode bike for exercise unless it's at least 70.

    1. Yeah. Those last three totally came from my husband. ;) I'm kind of waiting for 50s to ride my ride. Hopefully sooner than later...

  11. Ha! Love the last three! As long as you don't eat cold pizza on race days ;)
