That said, I do like to have a scale around for those rare occasions when I feel like checking out that little well, not so little number. When we left MN, we sold our current scale, so when this opportunity arose, I jumped at the chance of getting a scale again.
This EatSmart scale is about as fun as a scale can be! It's super easy to use as all scales should be and it has some great features.
I really love it's sleek, slim design. It's kind of a classy, elegant looking scale, but the best part is the bathroom door can swing right over it. I've had trouble finding the perfect spot for most of my previous scales because uncarpeted space is at a premium.
Now, this scale works like many scales. You just step on and it does it's magic. But this one doesn't need to be woken up first. No tapping first to see the 0.0. You just step on and it weighs. Beautiful.
Of course, if you want to use the tracking features, you need to do a quick set-up first. Basically, you press and hold the SET button until USER appears in the upper left of the display. Use the arrows to choose which user (1-8) you want to select. Touch SET again. When the scale displays 0.0, step on.
This only needs to be done the first time. After that, it remembers you based on your weight.* Yeah, it's that smart. :-)
Day 1
The scale will show your current weight and show that your last weight was 0.0.
Day 2 (and subsequent days)
The scale will cycle through three screens:
- Current weight / Last weight
- Weight change in pounds and percentage
- Total weight change in pounds and percentage.
NOTE: On Day 2, the second two screens will be the same.
Overall, I really like how easy this scale is to use plus the tracking feature is really cool. This way I don't have to try to
Oh, hey! I just realized that if you ever participate in a DietBet challenge, this might be a perfect scale as you can monitor that percentage lost so easily! Bonus!!
EatSmart is more than just a company about providing excellent bathroom scales. They also have a variety of kitchens scales and luggage scales, but what I really like about this company is their commitment to helping promote healthy living in general. Their blog is filled with healthy living tips plus some delicious looking recipes. You can also find them on Facebook, Twitter, Pinterest, and Instagram for some great motivation and tips for healthy living.
*The scale auto recognizes profiles within +/- 6.6lbs. If multiple profiles are in a similar range, both will be shown on the display in cycles after weighing.

Cool! I have an old school scale that I barely use:)
ReplyDeleteI'm really sporadic about using scales - especially since I'm not actively trying to lose weight.
DeleteSo cool! I never thought about getting a "smart scale" -- this is awesome!
ReplyDeleteSmart scales are fun + I do really like this company. :)
DeleteWow! Though with it showing the changes that accurately, there's at least one week a month that I would have to completely avoid the thing, or I'd drive myself crazy!
ReplyDeleteLOL! Agreed. :)
